
Taking a leaf from the glamour and wealth brought upon by the Gilded Age at the US roughly during 1870s to 1900s, this year’s Met Gala showcased a sublime yet streamlined take on menswear dominion, growth of art, and industrialization. Interestingly (and coincidentally) however, that the era was ‘a time of materialistic excess with extreme poverty’ and serious social problems like women’s suffrage. Hmmm… I guess this ought to serve as a form of awareness.
