The 2023 STITCH OFF National Streetwear Competition presented by Department of Science and Technology Philippine Textile Research Institute (DOST-PTRI) during Day Two of 2023 National Youth Science, Technology, and Innovation Festival. Congrats to the winners!

1st Place – Threads of Heritage, Iloilo Science and Technology University

2nd Place – Magbagong-tatag, Technological University of the Philippines Manila

3rd Place – Nilikhay, Fashion Institute of the Philippines – Ortigas Main

People’s Choice Award – Echoing the Spirit of Taraki, Benguet State University

Industry Pick – Bolador, University of the Philippines

DOST Pick – Magbagong-tatag, TUP Manila

The competition aims to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for Philippine textiles and the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) that drive their evolution. This competition is a platform for young talents to showcase the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary science and technology, emphasizing the importance of innovation in Philippine textile development.
