Aid Couture, Fashion Gives Back and other Relief-related projects

In light of the recent tragedy the Philippines, especially the Visayas region, has encountered, the fashion people of the country united to provide relief to the victims of the Typhoon Yolanda(Haiyan). Here are some of the activities/projects, most will happen this weekend, you can support to:

FASHION GIVES BACK

Fashion people, friends and family are invited to attend a mass offering for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda(Haiyan) this coming Sunday at 5:30PM, November 17th at Mary Mother of Hope Chapel, 5th floor, Landmark Department Store, Ayala Centre, Makati City. Attendees are encouraged to wear white.

A PIECE OF HELP Project by shoe designer Nere Ku and his friends – A fund raising photo shoot for the benefit of the victims of typhoon Yolanda(Haiyan) through Sagip Kapamilya.

Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines to take part on FILIPINO PARA SA FILIPINO: A Charity Fashion Show for Leyte and Samar. Event to be held on SM AURA on November 29, 2013, ticket would cost Php 1000. Please stay tuned for more info.

AID COUTURE: A Preloved Clothing Sale

This fundraising event will help transform and sell some of the clothes donated to the Philippine Red Cross as these clothes may be deemed inappropriate to the typhoon victims. With the help of brands Downy and Ariel, these preloved clothes will be laundered and dry-cleaned first, then sorted, styled and sold to the public with the assistance of fashion designer Happy Andrada, model Vicky Herrera and stylists Paulo Castro and Jujiin Samonte.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase medical supplies, food and water, as well as rescue equipments to assist relief efforts moving forward.

Aid Couture will happen on November 16 and 17 at Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
