Lawrence Cervantes showcases his second solo exhibition entitled ”Ascension to Light” opened this March 23 at Galerie Stephanie, Mandaluyong City. Exhibit duration is from March 23 to April 6, 2019.
“Ascencion to Light” represents the artist’s take on purgatory based on the Christian belief, neither earth or spirit world, this is a place where the souls of the dead are judged if they should go to heaven or hell. The purgatory world is represented as dark, obscure world of fields and swamp where individuals take a chance on free will and freedom.
