Merging science and ceremony, this Xander Zhou Pro Autumn/Winter 2024 “Sciremony” menswear collection brings forth the Chinese designer’s projection of a distant future, curious and mysterious, formal yet revolutionary – a hybrid reality of man’s evolution on fashion, technology, and individuality. Zhou’s cross-media raftmanship and signature sci-fi elements remained evident but this time interplayed with romantic touch. On a personal note, speaking of the future, the accessories of preserved plants and fur-and-bone animals serves an eerie reminder of what’s left of these living beings should they get neglected.
